Food - The Sustenance of LifeOne evening Sasha, Sandro and myself were very merry.

We decided to gather together around a microphone and make stupid noises.

We ended up with a very silly recording of 3 humans making stupid noises.

Turned out rather well we all thought

It was recorded, effected, reversed and then used as the complete floor for this song.

This was a lot of fun and came together vey quickly.

I especially like how the second half turned out.

This song was created as a direct result of a blind internet date.

Well it wasn't really blind - I could see, she could see and we had seen each other no less than an hour before on the internet.

Problem was (from my perspective at least), was that when I got to her house an met her,

she had grown fourfold in all dimensions except height and she was wearing someone elses face !!

Dancey is how I'd best describe this one. ...

Metallion - The Metal Battalion.

Synth Metal Pump !!

Originally written around 1994 on an Amiga 1200 and re-done in 2000 on the PC.

I have always imagined this song as describing a space armada leaving it's home-world to launch an attack on another planet of beings.

This is the song I entered in to the 2000 song contest (mentioned in The God Within Info post ).

It was a mad rush to create this song from scratch, with vocals to a finished submissible product.

I made the deadline - barely.

With one day to go before the entry cut-off, I still had to get the vocals done. I had no equipment for the task.

A friend of mine did have the required equipment so I dragged myself and my song over to his place.

The last thing I wanted was to do the vocals ...

Anthemic synth pop/dance tune.

Like I said in the post of another track - I'm struggling to describe my own music !!!

So if you think my description is off - feel free to suggest something else (in your reply post).

Playing this to some friends, they suggested a similarity to some 80's synth pop.

So be it then - 80's style anthemic synth pop

This was one of the first tracks I wrote upon receiving my PC version of Octamed.

Ice Strut - Basically written from a man's perspective about a good-looking but arrogant 'ice-queen' woman.

You occasionaly see them walking in cities, so cock-sure but so very un-approachable.

The Ice queen doing her Strut.

Ladies, I suppose you could apply it to men as well but that is your department.

Being a bloke, I can only write from my perspective, which is extremely blokey

I had the song done and finished but got inspired one day - watching ducks play in the water, to write some lyrics.

This is where the title comes from.

I'm pretty happy with this one too !

The lyrics - which are not in the song on the album.

Now I'd like to tell you a story about some friends of mine.

Two little ducks waddled down to the local park.

It was raining, So they were very happy.

Another track written in Roleystone - what happened to the song title ?

Slow wafty synth intro into a faster main riff - dominated by an octaving bassline with frenetic synth lead melody.

Like most of my tunes it has several parts/changes in it.

The Inner Sanctum - gets it name from the idea of secret societies (well they do exist - just maybe not so secret anymore!)
